Terra Alta is an area in Southern Catalonia, which is on a plateau between the mountains and is 300 to 400 metres above the sea level. The soil in the area is clayey and mostly consists of limestone, so the ground there is modestly fertile, which gives these wines a strong minerality. Mediterranean climate with it’s hot summers and mild winters grants the ideal conditions for growing grapes and gives wines the taste of fruity ripeness and freshness.
